August 9th, 2021 - Having launched the Algorand Foundation Grant Program last year, we have received many submissions from developers and innovators globally who have been eager to participate and grow the Algorand ecosystem. After thorough review and selection, we are delighted to announce that Algoscan is the latest Grant recipient.
Algoscan is a blockchain explorer built on top of Algorand looking to increase transparency and user accessibility within the ecosystem. By putting UI/UX design at the forefront, Algoscan aims to support both developers and end-users by providing a better experience traversing and exploring the blockchain. Algoscan is committed to helping make Algorand and it's surrounding ecosystem more accessible to new and current users alike.
"We were very excited to partner with the Algorand Foundation and receive their support in developing Algoscan. It's no secret that with the rise in popularity of the blockchain, the applications that have seen the biggest uptick in user adoption are the ones that put UX/UI design first. With Algoscan, we wanted to create a blockchain explorer that provided a better user experience. I am very excited about the future of Algorand and it's growing ecosystem", said Harsh Baid, CEO of WaferFinance.
"We are delighted to welcome Algoscan to the Algorand ecosystem through our Grant Program” said Addie Wagenkneckt of the Algorand Foundation. Algoscan is built on top of ReactJS, React’s easy to use performant framework which facilitates rapid development and iteration of the web application. We were pleased to see Algoscan place UI/UX design at the forefront when developing its Algorand block explorer. The development of AlgoScan provides transparency and trust to users who can use the application to search for addresses, transactions, blocks, and assets on the blockchain in real time’.
Algorand Foundation is proud to support this project with funding through the Algorand Foundation Grant program. For more information on AlgoScan, check out their published article and visit: https://algoscan.app/. Be sure to follow them on Twitter.
