March 30th, 2022 - The Algorand Foundation has witnessed the strong response of the Algorand community over the last days in response to the Ukraine government accepting donations in Algo. There is a clear desire within the community to assist and support the humanitarian efforts in Ukraine.
In support of this, the Algorand Foundation is today committing to match all Algo donations to Ukraine Humanitarian relief, up to 1 Million Algo. The Foundation will provide regular updates on the amount of Algo contributed and the match from the Foundation itself. This matching program will run to April 30th.
The first program to accept Algo donations to support Ukrainian humanitarian efforts is that of the Ukraine government itself. To donate Algo to the official Ukraine Government website, please visit this website: https://donate.thedigital.gov.ua/ . As other programs move to accept donations in Algo, they will be added to the match program and listed here.
